Rates Inside the Village
Village Resident $28 / month
Senior Village Resident $26 / month
Rates Outside the Village
Township Resident $30 / month
All Trash bills are due at the close of business on the 15th of each month.
Thereafter, payments will be considered delinquent and a 10% penalty will be added to the amount.
Should the 15th fall on a Saturday, Sunday or a Legal Holiday, bills will not be considered delinquent until the end of the following business day.

Routes - Monday & Tuesday
Monday Route includes any residential or commercial property on account to the East of East Street.
Including: State Route 203 North, Hughes Rd., Boxwell Rd., Bethlehem Rd., Newmans Cardington Rd., Prospect Norton Rd., State Route 47 East, Dunbar Rd., Smeltzer Rd.
Tuesday Route includes any residential or commercial property on account to the West of East Street.
Including: State Route 203 South, Gast Rd., Curren Rd., State Route 47 West, State Route 257, Davis-Kirk Rd., State Route 4, Prospect-Richwood Rd., Boundary Rd.
Rules & Regulations
Containers:
Garbage shall be placed in secured plastic bags, or metal or plastic containers of not more than thirty (30) gallon capacity. Other trash and refuse must be in containers or bundles that can readily be picked up by one man, but in no instance to exceed fifty (50) pounds.
Container Pick Up Area:
All containers, bundles, bags, etc., of garbage, rubbish, or waste material shall be located within six (6) feet of the curb, roadway, berm, alley, etc., wherever possible.
Disposal of Grass Clippings, Mulch, & Other Fine Materials:
Fine material disposal is discouraged and composting is encouraged. Small quantities of this material will be picked up on the last Wednesday of each month from May through October, weather permitting.
Materials Not Permitted in Garbage:
Paint cans (must be completely dried out), piping, hazardous materials, tires (specialized recycling necessary - please contact your nearest transfer station for legal disposal of tires), furniture, construction waste, etc.

Special Large Load Pick Up
Village Residents Only
Any village resident may request the use of the dump truck for any large amount of refuse, roofing, brush, remodeling waste, etc.
$50.00 per load if loaded by the resident
$100.00 per load if loaded by the Village employees
*Landfill charges will be in addition to the above amounts.*
Dump truck drop off can be as early as 9am. Pick up at 3pm by the Village employees.
Arrangements can be made by calling the Village Office.
Special Small Load Pick Up
Village and Township Residents
Any village or township resident may request the assistance of the Village for removal of larger items that is not permitted in the regular garbage route such as but not limited to:
Mattresses: Twin / Full / Queen / King
couches/ sectionals / recliners / chairs
tables /desks / shelving
toilets / refrigerators / microwaves /
carpet / piping
*Service fees help offset the landfill charges.*

Annual Spring Clean Up
Always the week following the Annual Village Garage Sale Weekend in June
Village officials have not designated the dates for the 2026 Spring Clean Up at this time.
Brush Pick Up
Village Residents Only
Small amounts of items such as grass clippings, mulch, tree limbs, etc., will be picked up on the last Wednesday of the month from May through October.
Items to be picked up can be placed at your typical garbage pick up location.
Residents outside the village or anyone with a large amount of these items are requested to deliver their waste to:

Holiday String Light Collection
Begins on America Recycles Day (November 15) and continues through January 20. Visit wastenotmarion.com to find a location nearest you or drop off at the local Goodwill.
Holiday Tree Collection
During and after the holiday season, residents are encouraged to drop off bare trees at any DKMM-sponsored yard waste facility including Outdoor Resource Supply.
Household Hazardous Waste (HHW):

To schedule a 15-minute drop-off appointment on select Wednesdays call (419) 751-2290. Appointments are available in Delaware and Mount Vernon and are open to residents in all four District counties. $20/car (cash or card).

Take Back Day
Marmet collects unused or expired medications the last Saturday in April and October.
There is year-round disposal at local pharmacies such as Meijer, CVS, Walgreens and law enforcement agencies.
